Cribs...

255 Tulip Drive....this is our new place! Dan and I moved in August, and we are really enjoying the neighborhood. We hope to have everyone come by during the holidays! Hopefully by then we'll have our house in order...

Our Gustav Adventure...

Dan and I are lucky to have lots of people that love and care about us. We are now back in Houma after spending a week in Monroe escaping from Gustav. Here are some pictures from trip. Thanks again to the Glenns for taking our crew in for a week! We are looking forward to returning the favor some day soon.

Woody earned his sea legs while in Monroe. The first day swimming was a little touch and go with Woody needing rescue. But after 5 days of practice sometimes three times a day, Woody is now a lifeguard quality swimmer. Watch out Michael Phelps!

Brodie was Woody's swim instructor. Thanks Brodie for helping Woody perfect his stroke.

Dan got in too to swim and make Woody rest. Woody would start to wheeze after almost 30 minutes straight of swimming laps. Crazy dog...I think we created a monster! He had such a good time though.

Here's just a snippet of Woody swimming...Dan would call him and Woody would swim up to Dan and just he got close enough for Dan to reach out and grab Woody would turn the other way and off he went!

Kim, Molly (shih tzu), and Sir Willie Mays Hays (dachshund) were great to Dan, me, Mrs. Mary and Mr. Bob, and Woody.

Poor Louie, Alice and Brodie's cat, didn't get to roam freely in the house, but he would make a showing every once in a while. So I was excited to get this rare footage on camera!

Deep thoughts by Walker Glenn....not really. He's soaking wet in this picture, taking a well deserved break after shoveling a trench around the back side of the house and clearing out a drain that was getting backed up. Monroe got almost 10 inches of rain in 24 hours from Gustav. Luckily we never lost power up there. Dan and I have some great memories from our evacuation trip, and we can't thank Walker and Kim enough for their thoughtfulness and kindness.

Two thumbs up from Cameron, Brodie's younger brother, who ended up taking refuge as well sleeping on his dad's couch for a night because of Gustav.

Woody sitting proudly in the pool as his parents look on and wonder how we will ever afford a pool! Mmmmmmmm..........
